Miranda Lambert’s Revolution Tour Sparks with CHAUVET®

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Six Legend™ 300E Beam and 12 COLORado™ Batten 72 Tour fixtures are part of the rig for Miranda Lambert’s Revolution Tour. Lambert has been nominated a record nine times for this year’s Country Music Association Awards—the most nominations ever for any female artist—including Entertainer of the Year. 
CHAUVET® dealer, Bandit Lites supplied fixtures specified by production designer Chris Lisle. Legend™ 300E Beam moving heads were used to throw aerial effects from behind the band, while COLORado™ Batten 72 Tour wash lights were used for lighting the cyc.
“I became a huge fan of the Legend™ 300E Beam fixtures on this tour,” said Lisle. “We use them on the floor to create aerial looks that punch through the color washes coming from the fixtures in the air. We found these lights to have great optics that allow a good concentrated beam of light. The effects wheel in them is great as well and allows for some great looks. From a technical end, these fixtures are very light weight and easy to manage.”
Legend™ 300E Beam moving yoke beam fixture, powered by a MiniFastFit lamp, features CMY color mixing to produce a vivid beam of light and a gobo wheel with seven slot-n-lock gobos provides further beam shaping. COLORado™ Batten 72 Tour linear wash fixture, a Parnelli Awards finalist for indispensable technology, includes 72 one-watt LEDs with RGBWA color mixing to produce richly saturated colors from vivid hues to warm whites.
“The battens have really good color,” said Aaron Luke, lighting director and programmer for Chris Lisle, “and a good wash against the drapes. The beams are very punchy, lightweight and easy to move around on the stage. They have great effects and I’ve been really pleased with them.”
The 44th annual CMA Awards will be broadcast live on ABC from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., November 10, at 8 p.m., EST. Lambert’s tour has dates throughout the country, with a final show in Las Vegas this December 2010.
